Kent Baker was born in Bath, England and currently lives between New York and London. His career started in London in the late 1990’s after he was picked up by i-D’s then Art Director Scott King. Since then he has gone on to be a contributor for, and commissioned by, numerous publications, including British Vogue, i-D, The Face, Arena, The Sunday Times Magazine, The Independent, 10 Magazine, Rolling Stone, Purple Magazine, 125 Magazine, and Conde Nast Traveller, as well as working with creative and advertising agencies including Weiden Kennedy, McCann Erickson, Euro RSCG, BBH, Iris, MKD, Dry and Saatchi & Saatchi on commission for clients including Levi Strauss, Dockers, Lee Jeans, Gieves & Hawkes, Ford, Kickers, Nike, Sony, Goodyear, Virgin, V2, Luatrec, Wall, Harvey Nichols, Canal+, Coco Cola and Amnesty International.

Kent has also published solo books and contributed to numerous other publications including Smile i-D, Fashion Now (v1 and v2), Fashion Photography Now, Strip (Stiedl), 66-99 American Road Trip and Inferno Alexander McQueen. His work has taken him all over the world. Kent has now expanded into film work and has been commissioned for several music and performance films.

Kent Baker is currently represented at MAM in New York City.
